This Wednesday, January 6, 2021, the European Football Observatory, linked to the International Center for the Study of Sport (CIES) unveils its biannual ranking of the players with the highest market value on the transfer market. In 2020, it was the French Kylian Mbappé who was classified in first position.
In 2021, first place goes to Phil Foden (21), the British star of Manchester City.
To establish this classification, the observatory is based on the following criteria: the player’s age, the duration of his contract, the performances and titles gleaned, also the history of injuries.
