Former Barcelona striker Samuel Eto’o was recently elected president of the Cameroon Football Federation.

However, Eto’o’s first big challenge is to successfully host the African Cup of Nations in January, due to talks of a postponement after claims of Cameroon’s unpreparedness and Covid outbreak.

Speaking on Canal Plus about the possible AFCON postponement, Eto’o said, “I see no reason to postpone it.

“If the Euro can play out in the middle of a pandemic, I don’t see why AFCON can’t play out.

“I repeat, what I find hard to believe is that some Africans are accomplices.”

In the past, Barcelona usually had a lot of representatives at AFCON, such as Eto’o, Yaya Toure and Seydou Keita.

However, there will be no representative of Barca’s first team at next year’s tournament, unless Morocco invites Abde Ez, which is unlikely.
