The hearing according to information we received occurred today at the Court of First Instance of Douala Bonanjo.

The Cameroonian rapper, Tenor went before the judges this Monday, September 6, 2021. This was because of the dead of Erica who was in the same car with Tenor and they got into a tragic accident last July in Douala.

According to the information Afriblinksblog got, Tenor pleaded guilty and also renounces his request for provisional release.

We remember that on August 12, 2021, the case of the public prosecutor, Erica Mouliom against Tenor had lasted about 30 minutes. At that time, the artist’s lawyer pleaded for his bail. Before the court, the Council of Tenor had supported the grounds for this request. He had indicated for example that his client, detained since July 30, 2021 at the central prison of Douala, presents an unstable state of health.

Tenor appeared in the correctional courtroom at the Court of First Instance of Douala-Bonanjo today around 4 p.m., with a plaster cast on his arm. The lawyer had also presented two guarantors, a man and a woman who happen to be artiste’s relatives.

The magistrates took note of this plea and had referred the case to September 6, 2021 for requisitions from the prosecution.

Today September 6, the artist renounces his bail. It should also be noted that the collective supporting the family of the late Erica Mouliom was present at the hearing of the Court of First Instance of Douala-Bonanjo to assist the father of the deceased, this Monday, September 6, 2021. Their slogan was: “Justice for Erica”.

As a reminder, Thierry Mengoumou Ayia alias Tenor who appeared in court has been remanded in custody at New-bell prison for a month, on charges of “manslaughter”. He was responsible for a tragic accident that took the life of Erica Mouliom, a young student at Saint Jérôme Catholic University in Douala. The tragedy occurred on July 15, 2021, at a place called Bassengue red light in Douala.
