Manchester City won again. Pep Guardiola’s side beat Wolverhampton (4-1) at the Etihad and managed to avoid dropping points in a Premier League more than ever within their reach.
The English machine of Pep Guardiola won again on Tuesday in the Premier League, although until the last moments, a draw more than possible was looming at the Etihad.

City welcomed Wolves who are looking for European places still distant for them (10 points). In the end, they leave with nothing.

Already in the 15th minute, the Citizen opened the scoring with some luck. On an action where Mahrez was complicated, the Algerian put a ball to Sterling that Dendoncker intercepted but by scoring in his own goal.

That short advantage was retained until half-time and in the 61st minute Nuno’s team responded. Coady equalized to jeopardize his opponents’ winning streak.

It wasn’t until the last moments that City got the steamroller going. From 1-1 in the 80th minute, the match ended with a more than convincing 4-1 score.

Gabriel Jesus scored first. The Brazilian took advantage of a clearance from the opposing defense to put his team in front of the scoreboard. In the 90th minute, Mahrez sealed the victory and in the 94th, the Brazilian scored his brace after VAR validated a goal that had been canceled by the referee.

Once again, Guardiola’s men took the 3 points in a Premier League where they are leaders with 15 points ahead of their dolphin.
