Magixx as Professionally Known, whose native name is Adelabu Alexander is a Nigerian Afrobeat singer and song writer who rose to fame after dropping his EP project tagged Magixx.
Magixx was born on 27th September, 1999 into the family of Mr and Mrs Alexander in Lagos State, Nigeria. He was brought up in the mainland part of Lagos and spent his formative years residing in Ogba town.
Early Life
Magixx as a young boy, developed interest in music as he often spent hours listening to songs from different genres, ranging from Pop, Hip-hop, Reggae, and Highlife.
He went from writing songs to singing them in front of a crowd at school contests and carnivals in his community. Receiving positive reviews from his audience at that time, he became resolute in his decision to pursue music full time.
Education
Magixx Educational life were all in Lagos. He attended Primary and Secondary school in Lagos where he learnt various musical instruments and graduated from high school with good grades in his West African School Certificate. In 2015, He gained Admission into Lagos State University to study Mass Communication.
Magixx as a student at UNILAG, was active in the school’s music scene and regularly attended parties, shows, and concerts.This made him a notable face in Unilag’s entertainment community and helped him to build a small and strong fanbase.
Career:
Magixx started his music career at the age of 11 as a Chorister in the church. He later move further to engage in music profession in 2013 where he recorded his solo track Mirror. In 2015, Magixx became popular for winning Mass Communications got Talent show while in School
In September 2016, Magixx released his first album , which has three track that includes: “Hold Me Down” and “Mirror”. His song made him to become popular in University of Lagos as mentioned above.
Magixx got featured on many tracks and also performed at Wiz on the beach, Wizkid show and Seyi Shay concert all in December, 2017.
He made a cover of Burna Boy‘s hit song, Dangote, in April 2019 and it went viral on the internet with over 35,000 views on Instagram. He also dropped the cover of the song, Sinner, by Adekunle Gold on the 3rd of September 2021.
He was a student under Mavin Academy for months, and released his debut project, Magixx EP, the same day he was signed to Mavin Records.
He joined the strong alumni network of successful music stars in the label like, Rema, Crayon, Ayra Starr, Ruger Johnny Drille and Ladipoe.
