“I almost committed suicide when my mother passed away” – Vincent Aboubakar.

Cameroonian football star, Vincent Aboubakar in an interview with 90 Football revealed some of his darkest moments.

He said when his mother passed away, he almost committed suicide. He didn’t believe he was going to live again. That was a very sad moment for him.

Right now, he can’t help but wish sometimes that his parents were still alive.

In this interview speaking in French, the football star said :

“On a December morning they called me to say my mother is no more. It was so brutal for me, it was difficult to accept.

“To be honest, I think if today I didn’t have children I would have probably killed myself to be honest.

“I miss my parents all the time. Today I’m successful and I think those who gave birth to me would have really benefitted from it. Unfortunately they can’t and I feel all my success is wasted. My only source of hope right now are my children.”
