Former defender Rigobert Song has been named new coach of the Cameroonian football team on Monday,28th February 2022 succeeding to the Portuguese Toni Conceiçao, the Minister of Sports announced in a press release.
Few weeks before the match against Algeria, in an attempt to qualify for the 2022 World Cup, Cameroon changes their coach.
Former football star & defender Rigobert Song, 45, has been named the new coach of the Cameroon football national team, succeeding Portuguese Antonio Conceiçao.
This comes after there were rumours circulating last week stating he is the new coach of Cameroon and getting the mass confused. It has finally come to pass.
Note that few weeks ago, rumours spread that the FECAFOOT’S president had chosen Rigobert song as the indomitable lions coach.
A hetic job therefore awaits the new coach as he has less than a month to build the team that will be facing Algeria for the 2022 world’s cup qualification.
