The former Barça striker is caught up in his past. According to information given during the trial, he met a young black woman in a bar in Spain. That’s where the relationship started.
Due to this relationship, the same lawsuit states, in February 1998, the woman found out she was pregnant, which she told him, and then “told him that she would act responsibly towards their child, even if she preferred not to have the child”.

The mother named Adileusa claimed that “during the pregnancy, she tried to communicate with the future dad, but he did not answer her phone calls or her emails”, to indicate that she had warned him by phone that she was going to give birth , without receiving a response from him.
This child was born in 1999 in Madrid, when the footballer was a member of RCD Espanyol. Eto’o has never seen her and is even unaware of her existence. The court asks the former footballer to pay a pension to the young woman of 1,400 euros, nearly 1 million CFA francs per month as child support.
