The first training sessions were scheduled today at the Mundi complex in Yaoundé. Some 10 Indomitable Lions have already joined the den for the AFCON 2021.
Of the 28 names summoned by Antonio Conceiçao, Zambo Anguissa, Pierre Kunde Malong, Clinton Njie, André Onana, Simon Omossola, Jérôme Onguene…, will be present this Monday on the training ground. The other players summoned by the Portuguese technician will join the Cameroonian selection camp in the coming days.
The Indomitable Lions are settling in Yaoundé, where they will do their internship, as part of AFCON 2021 which starts on January 9, 2022 with the Cameroon-Burkina-Faso match. But before the start of the tournament, Cameroon will deliver two friendly matches. The first opponent is known, Guinea, it will be January 3, 2022. After this meeting, the Lions could deliver a second match. The second preparatory meeting just before AFCON should be against the Atlas Lions of Morocco.
