On Saturday morning, May 15, 2021, the lifeless body of the young Ines Tchouamaleu was recovered in a well in Kekem. At the time of this gruesome discovery, Ines had clotted blood in her mouth and nostrils, along with strangulation marks on her neck.
According to media sources, this student in F4 class at Kekem Technical High School, went to a bar called “WhatsApp” with her friends on Friday night, May 14, 2021, for a moment of relaxation. But at a certain time on the way home, she was chased by a man in uniform. The next day, when the body was found, residents accused the police officer of being behind the crime.
Against all expectations, the investigation took another lead, that of her boyfriend Joachim Tchoualeu, who arrived in the city the day before the tragedy. Reached on the phone, he said he does not know the girl. Further investigations pointed at this boyfriend of hers who claimed not to know her.
On Monday morning, May 17, 2021, the police went to look for Joachim to further the investigations and he was o where to be found. Presently, he is being wanted by the police.
