PSG confirm Mbappe will miss the match against Lens due to a calf injury

PSG have confirmed that Kylian Mbappe has sustained a calf injury and will miss their Ligue 1 clash with Lens on Saturday.

This means that Mbappe is also doubtful for the second leg of PSG’s Champions League semi-final tie against Manchester City next Wednesday, but Mauricio Pochettino hopes that his star will return to action soon.

“Kylian has a discomfort,” Pochettino admitted during the press conference prior the match against Lens.

“He is a very important player for us and we hope he returns soon.”

PSG are currently one point behind Ligue 1 leaders Lille with four games to go and will have to travel to England with the goal of overturning their 2-1 defeat at Parc des Princes from the first leg against Manchester City.
