The Merseyside club has obtained permission from the municipality to build a new stadium, located on the docks.

Since 1892, Everton have played at Goodison Park. But this love story is going to end. The city of Liverpool has just authorized Everton to build a new stadium, located on the city docks.

Bearing the name of Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium, this new stadium will have an initial capacity of 52,888 seats which can then be increased to 62,000 seats. It will be much more than Goodison Park which can only accommodate 40,157 people.

With this new stadium, Everton will be able to accommodate more supporters but they fear an increase in the price of seats (as was the case with Arsenal when they moved from Highbury to the Emirates Stadium).

Construction of Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium is expected to take 150 weeks and, if work is not delayed, Everton will move there from the 2024-2025 season.

As for Goodison Park, it will be destroyed and replaced by housing, a shopping center, green spaces and a hospital.
