Young Cameroonian man placed as Director General of Dangote Cement.

At only 42 years old, Cameroonian Bertrand Mbouck has been appointed new Managing Director of the Cameroonian subsidiary of Dangote Cement, a cement production and marketing company. He took office on July 13, 2020.

A graduate of the Catholic University of Central Africa, the Chartered and Certified Accountant in the UK can boast of having a very high quality professional experience.

Before leaving his suitcases at the cement plant of Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote, he had a meteoric career in the corporate world. Upon obtaining his master’s degree in Accounting and Financial Sciences and Techniques, he was immediately called upon by the Ernst & Young firm, where he remained for 7 years, not without climbing the ladder.

After 7 years in the said firm, he joined CAC – International then, guided by the need to take up new challenges, he was recruited as regional financial director at Wärtsilä. This will be his last destination before his appointment as CEO of Dangote Cement.

A feat to salute according to Martin Camus Mimb

“Why do we sometimes tend to hide and trivialize our pride? How many Cameroonians are General Managers of multinationals established at home? Well Dangote Industries has just tickled our pride, by bringing to the head of its Cameroon subsidiary, the brave Bertrand Mbouck. Congratulations to you dear compatriot. We are proud of you. Welcome back home, ”said the journalist in a Facebook output on Wednesday July 22, 2020.
